My January Playlist 2014

Hi everyone!

I hope you all enjoy my playlist for this month!

Marianas Trench - Ever After

Memphis May Fire - Miles Away (Acoustic) ft. Kellin Quinn

The Summer Set ft. Dia Frampton - Where Are You Now?

Pierce The Veil - Bulls In The Bronx

Simple Plan - In

All Time Low - So Long Soldier

Mayday Parade - When You See My Friends

Tonight Alive ft. Benji Madden - Breakdown

Real Friends - I've Given Up On You

Vic Fuentes & Jenna McDougall - Hold On Till May (acoustic)
I only want to go into detail about one song on this playlist and that is the first song.
So I listened to the song 'Ever After' for the first time ever before I wrote this playlist and it is now one of my favourite songs.  I don't know if it's the dynamics or Josh Ramsay's amazing vocals or the lyrics but there was something about this song.
I just closed my eyes and listened and was completely overwhelmed with appreciation for this song. It is a truly beautiful piece.  I would definitely recommend to have a listen to this song. Actually I'd say listen to all the songs on this playlist, they're all pretty amazing songs.

Also a quick heads up on a post that's coming in the near future!
I'm doing a n online interview with singer-songwriter Will Sid Smith so send me any questions that you might have for him! If you don't know who he is then go check out his website:

My Favourite Moments Of 2013!

Hey everyone!

So I was supposed to post this last year (oops!) but this post is coming later as I wanted to make sure that it was exactly how I wanted it to be. It's going to be a much longer post than usual as well, hope you enjoy :)

So I've decided to talk about 5 different areas that had positive impacts on me throughout last year and those areas are Music, Books, People, Places and YouTube.

-So last year Simple Plan released their first ever EP which I was so happy about!
I hadn't listened to them for a while and I started listening to them again at the beginning of 2013 and it was amazing to hear some new music from them. It's also made me very excited for their new album.

-Because I started listening to Simple Plan again I also discovered a lot of other artists through them and then even more artists through those artists.  Some of those artists are All Time Low, Marianas Trench, Pierce The Veil, Tonight Alive and The Summer Set.
This has introduced me to a whole new genre and some new fanbases as well which has been really good fun.  This has let me really get into music again and has inspired me to finally have a go at learning guitar and maybe even have a go at singing.

-I went to my first concert!!  I saw Lawson on the 9th of October last year and it was one of my favourite moments of life as well as 2013!  I had an amazing time and I got to meet some really great people while I was there which made it even better.

A lot of people have read John Green novels and last year I read my first two novels by him. I read 'The Fault In Our Stars' and 'Looking For Alaska' and I loved them both.
If I'm honest I was a little worried about reading them because there had been so much hype about them and I was scared that they might be a disappointment for me.  But luckily all my worrying was for nothing and they are both beautiful stories that will stay with me for a long time.

-When I was in London I got to meet up with my friend Eilish.  It was really nice to get to see her and I'm so glad that I got to spend some time with her.  I think our very loud reunion may have scared some of the other people in Hollister but I didn't really care, I got to see one of my best friends!  It was one of the best days ever for me.

-During the summer I went to a camp that I go to every year.  It runs for a week every summer and people come from all over Europe (although I'm the only Scottish person who goes).  I got to spend some time with my friends Rebekah and Ben who I only get to see at camp (but we're hoping to change that this year) and it was really nice to get to spend some time with them.
-In April me and my friend Erin travelled through to Fort Matilda to go to the Waterloo Road set to try and meet the some of the cast.
We met some other girls outside the set who were really lovely and we all still keep in contact with each other.  We got to meet a lot of the cast and it was over all a really good day, from running for trains, to sitting outside the set, to actually meeting the cast.  They all spent a lot of time with us, took photos and done autographs as well and we all had an amazing time.

-On the 12th of July I made my friend Lex wait for almost 5 hours in about 27°C to meet Lawson for their Broken-hearted signing in Edinburgh and it was an amazing day.  We read a lot, talked a lot and got to know some of the other girls who were also waiting to see them.
When it was our turn to go in to meet them we were almost at the front of the queue and I was about to break down in tears. And before you all judge me it wasn't because I was about to meet Lawson, it was because my SD card for my camera broke.  It was a pretty awful moment but luckily Lex came to the rescue with her phone which has a good quality camera.
It was a pretty surreal experience getting to meet them, they were all really nice and just genuinely lovely people.  I still can't believe that I got to meet them and I definitely owe Lex for waiting for so long with me!

-This year I was lucky enough to go to London for the first time in my life.  It was one of the best weeks of my life.  London is such an amazing city and I loved being able to explore it as I've always wanted to go.  We just so happened to be there the weekend that Andy Murray won Wimbledon and the atmosphere was amazing and the weather was great as well.
When I was there I took a lot of photos but unfortunately when we got back I put them all on my computer, edited them and then my computer crashed.  I lost all my photos before I even got to put them on a memory stick, it's something that I've learnt from though, I always need to make a hard copy of my photos straight away.
But I still enjoyed it so much, we done all the usual tourist activities (seeing Buckingham Palace, visiting Madame Toussauds and the bus tour) but I also had a day of exploring Greenwich a little while my family went to a museum.  I really enjoyed going there and I really hope I can go back and that I might even be lucky enough to live there one day.

-So at the beginning of 2013 quite a few of my friends told me to check out a guy called AmazingPhil on YouTube and then I also started watching Danisnotonfire.
And well after that I started watching lots of British YouTubers and then some American YouTubers and basically it's one of my favourite things to do when I've got spare time.
I absolutely love watching YouTube videos and I hope that one day I might be lucky enough to start my own channel.
Another very good thing which happened for me through London, seeing Eilish and loving YouTube is that Eilish got me a video message from Dan and Phil (she lives near the BBC so she met them after one of their radio shows).  She first showed it to me in the middle of Hollister and I was trying my very best not to squeal with excitement.

At first I thought 2013 had been a pretty bad year but writing this post has made me realise that I need to forget about all the bad stuff that happened.
I was pretty lucky in 2013 to get to spend some time with the people who mattered the most, meet some people that I never thought I would meet and go to my favourite city in the world!
I'm grateful for all the amazing things that happened for me last year and I hope that 2014 is just as good.
