My August Favourites 2014

Hey everyone!
I thought it would be nice if I shared with you some of the things that I have been loving over the past month, not just music in my playlists (although there will be some music in this post).
I hope that you enjoy this new style of post and if you would like me to continue monthly favourites then please let me know.

Here are my August favourites:
YouTube Channels
This channel is the work of the lovely Miss Carrie Hope Fletcher.
I've been a subscriber of Carrie's for quite a while but this month I have been really enjoying her videos.  I get so excited when I see that she's uploaded a new video.
Carrie provides a positive place on the internet and that's something I've really been needing this month and her videos help to make me feel more positive about life.
I also absolutely love her music, she has a very beautiful singing voice.

Shannen creates music mashups and then posts them on her channel.
I absolutely love Shannen's channel and would definitely urge you to give some of her work a listen, it's really amazing how well she's mixed different songs together.
I absolutely love Dodie Clark.  Doddlevloggle is Dodie's second channel and during August she runs a little series on this channel called VEDA (Vlogging Every Day in August).
I have been really enjoying her VEDA this year and would definitely recommend watching some of her videos because they're fun, unique and will most probably put a smile on your face.

I first heard about Adam through his music photography and blog.
When he started his YouTube channel I was very happy but wasn't really sure what to expect.
Adam brings a completely different take on what 'vlogging' is and I absolutely love it.
His videos (much like his personality) are unique, interesting and quite funny most of the time.
If you're looking for something quite laid back yet something that makes you want to get up and do something with your life, then go to Adams channel.
I love this blog so much.  There's a range of posts, from beauty to blogging tips and it's easy reading.  No long, complicated words that just confuse me, just lots of honest and trustworthy opinions.
I love this blog and really enjoy reading the posts.
Oh my goodness, I love this blog so much!  In The Frow is run by Victoria and since I discovered her blog at the beginning of this month I have been in love.  She mostly posts about fashion and beauty and even though I'm clueless when it comes to both I just love reading her blog.
You should definitely  give her blog a read.

One album I have been really loving this month is 'The Other Side' by Tonight Alive as I saw them in concert this month (you can read about the concert here).
So I listened to this album (as well as quite a few songs from their album 'What Are You So Scared Of?) to get myself excited for the concert.
It's the sort of album that has songs for different situations so no matter what mood you're in you can find something on this album to listen too (although there is only one 'love song').

I've also really enjoyed listening to the Live CD that comes with All Time Low's 'Straight To DVD'.
Some of  my favourite tracks are Poppin' Champagne, Lost In Stereo (including the intro, I feel this adds to the live version), Remembering Sunday and Too Much.

I finally watched 'The Avengers' this month!  Why has it taken me so long to watch such an amazing film?  I absolutely loved this film, as someone who has heard about it for a long time from their marvel obsessed best friend I had pretty high expectations, luckily I wasn't disappointed.
There's action, comedy and the storyline is brilliant.

Since I decided to watch 'The Avengers' I then decided to watch 'Iron Man' as he is one of the main characters and I hadn't seen his individual story.  I quite enjoyed it but I preferred 'The Avengers' to 'Iron Man' as I love the chemistry between the actors in 'The Avengers'.

This month I decided to reread one of my favourite book series.  It's the first collection in a 2 part series called 'Golden Filly' and I absolutely love it.  I've always liked horses, although never been able to afford to do horse riding as a hobby, so it's nice to live my dreams through the main character Tricia Evanston who is a jockey.
I'd definitely recommend this series, whether you're a horse lover or not as various riding concepts (many which I didn't know) are well described and easy to understand.
There are 5 books in the collection and I thoroughly enjoyed rereading them all, although as per usual I got quite teary eyed with the last book.
I hope you've enjoyed this different style of post and if you did please let me know and I'll try my best to continue sharing my monthly favourites.
